I've gotta say, ahem, Ms O'Neil taught me some things about myself that I never knew as a kid...I think it was the yellow jumpsuit that really got to me.

she was drawn beautifully. the hair, the suit, her facial features. she was really pretty for the time. (sometimes she kind of looked like an anime drawing a little bit)
But I think it also had to do a lot with her voice. The person doing her voice had a really pretty voice, I swear. Also April had an attitude that most cartoons didn't have back then. she was sarcastic and spunky.
the voice definitely helped a lot to make her as hot as she was. it did have a lot to do with it
April's design was based on the appearance of Fujiko Mine from the Lupin the 3rd anime, which would explain her... alluring looks.
