Well you can play 'TMNT: The Arcade Game' for the NES, 'Turtles In Time' for the Super Nintendo or 'The Hyperstone Heist' for the Sega Genesis and be happy knowing they're all based off this cartoon.
shareThe original TMNT arcade game is very true to the show. The game has ACTUAL music from the show and some of the same voice actors from the show as well.

shareIt was thought Platinum Games Turtles game was going to based off the cartoon but apparently it's not. Maybe if the new movie does well they'll do one based on the 80s cartoon?

Speaking on a revival of the '87 series, would love a new cartoon that continues it. Minus the red skies and serious tone of last couple of seasons. I would like seeing Shredder handling the turtles without krang and alien technology, maybe teaming up with newly introduced (for '87 series) Karai as his new copartner. Much like the comics, she could have control of the Japanese branch, and was disgusted to learn what Shredder had turned the once honorable foot into. Watching Bebop and Rocksteady run their own gang would also be a lot of fun. That could be for the first season. 2nd season they go rogue and do their own thing. 3rd season we see them back with Krang. 4th season back with both krang and shredder, and Karai. 5th season we see them try to form a new gang with 2 defunct foot robots. 6th season we see them working for leather head for a couple of episodes, then rat king. 7th and final they work with shredder one last time.
shareEverything cartoon today is CGI so don't see it happening. I'd love to see it happen though.
shareThere is some iOS game that lets you unlock and play as new and old turtles. However I think it's one of those stupid card using power xp games.
