but it is kind of disturbing that richard always punches conan in the head.
1)that is not his child, 2)he doesn't know who's kid it is, and 3)why can't he just tell conan to shut up or pull him out of the way. it seems like that punch really hurts.
I love the show, too. But I have to concur that Detective Moore is taking a bit too much liberty with Conan.
Part of the running conflict of the show is that, as an (apparent) six-year-old, Conan's assistance is always met with "WILL YOU SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE!" or "SOMEBODY GET THAT BRAT OUT OF HERE!!" or the like; this is understandable and I don't have a problem with it being in the cartoon. Even when someone picks up Conan by the seat of his pants to physically take him out of the way, I don't have a problem with (hey, "Grandfather" did it to "Peter" in the Disney cartoon "Peter and the Wolf"!) But when that someone (almost always Richard Moore) throws the young detective onto the floor like a rag doll, THAT smacks of child abuse to me.
If that sort of behavior is supposed to underscore what a world class jerk Detective Moore is, it's doing an "above and beyond the call of duty" job of it.
another thing is that conan points out every detail that everyone else misses and still richard is so mean. i would think that if conan points out small clues in every week's murder then there should be no problem with him being there.
literally every week. if you saw the episode about the murder at the cafe, rachel said something about the murder at the t.v. studio last week. death sure does follow them around. everything is usually fine until they get there.
hehehehe. I always kind of thought it was cute... and somewhat fair; I mean: Conan/ Shinichi/ Jimmy what ever tranquilizes Moore, I always thought of that as a type of abuse too. But then again, Richard usually does get the credit for the case that Conan solved. Nope, maybe it's not nice to do to Conan afterall. HE NEEDS TO GET BEAT UP BY SOMEONE (Richard)!!! lol.
