Possible SPOILERS My version of this show's conclusion...

I know it's not, but if it were up to me, I would allow Rachel (Ran) to just figure out that Conan was, in fact, Jimmy Kudo.

Ya' know, maybe she'd have a few minor concerns/questions concerning Conan's actions, and decides to spend more time around him to find any cracks in his attempts to act like a six-year-old.

However, the "viewing audience" is left blind to her plan other than the fact that they'd notice she'd been spending less time pining over Jimmy, and more time hanging around Conan.

Maybe this would be better than an incredibly "cheesy" scene where Conan just reveals that he's always been living around Rachel. All the while, he's been solving her father's cases from behind the proverbial curtain.

In the end, wouldn't that just irritate her? The boy she's had a crush on has been secretly "spying" on her, and knocking out her father from time to time. That situation doesn't exactly scream romance...

If you think about it, the aforementioned ending might make more sense. The writers wouldn't be completely disregarding the fact that Rachel almost discovered his true identity in the first few episodes.

She is a detective's daughter, after all.

Leaving her clueless really wouldn't be fair (in my humble opinion, anyway)...

I know this is kinda off the subjet but by the episode yesterday(no imunity for the dipumant part 2) {sorry can't spell well} I would say Harly knows alot about what happened to jimmy/conan cuz he mention something about gin and vadka (which when first hearing you might think were just the drinks but it wasn't)

It's only funny until someone gets hurt... then it's hilarious

maybe he's a undercover agent pretending to work for the black orginaization so he can figure out what theyre doing but this is just a theory and it is spelled diplomat okay?

I truely understand you, but you see, Rachel (Ran) has already seen Jimmy and Conan at the same time, and her intuitions were right 3 times until now, but no evidence.
For the conclusion: I hope, you can see ep.345 (available with engsubs) sometimes, and you'll understand

I appreciate the polite response, baratiakos.

After searching through "FanFiction.net," I did come across several stories where it was mentioned that Rachel has witnessed a couple of instances where Jimmy and Conan have spoken to one another.

I was not aware of this when I composed the post initiating this thread.

However, I'm still not a fan of the "Superman reveal" (as Kevin Smith has stated - ::removes glasses:: "Lois, I come from a planet far, far away..."), and would prefer it if Rachel were to somehow "find out" that Jimmy Kudo and Conan Edogawa were one and the same.

I understand that the story may only deepen if Rachel were to express feelings of hurt and anger towards Conan as a direct result of such a confession.

But, if she were to realize the truth through a personal discovery, Rachel will have time to think before reacting, therefore avoiding the blind rage that inevitably follows such an unorthodox situation.

In my humble opinion, emotions are certainly good, but not when an audience can see them coming from a mile away, ya' know... ?
