I'm Confused

It says here in IMDB that up till now they are still showing Detective Conan since it said [1996-???]... I'm confused because here in my country, the show just ended... Could someone explain this to me. I was not able to watch the last episode, but before it ended, Conan found out that a drink (I'm not sure what it is, but I think it's some kind of alcohol) could bring Conan back to his original body... Is this really the last episode or are there more??? because I don't get how there's gonna be more episode if Conan/Shinichi was able to get back to normal...

I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!!! HELP ME!!!!!

I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize

The show's not over, nor is it cancelled, it was only pulled off the air here in the states due to bad timing, since around that time in Summer 2004, Naruto had not yet reached state-side, so Cartoon Network wasn't as willing to show edgier shows on their regular line-up just yet, so it was stuck on Adult Swim.

However, most adults found some of the content matter, besides the murder mysteries, to be a little too juvenile for their tastes, and since it was generally kids watching it during the night anyway, and Adult Swim doesn't count kids in their ratings demograph, it wasn't getting the adequate ratings they were expecting from the viewers they had hoped would be watching, so by the Fall of 2004, the series was considered cancelled on regular cable television.

Despite that, the series will still be readily avaiable on DVD, and it may hopefully return to TV through Funimation Channel's new up-coming On-Demand syndication line-up.
