Case Closed and Lupin cancelled in ridiculous change...

So Lupin the 3rd and Case Closed both got canned. In their places?

Super Milk Chan and Cartoon Planet. Yep, right out of the WTF Were They Thinking Department. I've always said I'm smarter than any television exec out there, but this takes the cake.

It's not like there were bad ratings. Heck, I doubt ANY show airing at 4 AM gets more than 0.01, and I'm willing to bet Lupin and Case Closed were the two highest rated shows for their time slot. Yet they get replaced by two of the worst shows I have yet to view.

Super Milk Chan is just so stupid words can't even describe, and Cartoon Planet is a snore. When will smart people start getting the reigns of television networks?

I can understand Cartoon Planet, but why are they even bothering with Super Milk Chan?

I agree, someone should be fired. I am addicted to case Closed, only to have it ripped out from under my feet. I signed up to Netflix and have started renting the DVD's, so at least I can enjoy it that way.

i am a HUGE fan of Case Closed. I've bought many of their dvds. Gosh...i wish i have NETFLIX. I rarely can catch the case closed episodes, i mean..who on earth have the time to wake up everyday at 5:30 to see it.

If cancelling it is for a replacement issue, then i'm glad. Because 5:30 is TOO early. But if they AREN'T going to air it anymore, then... that's BULLSHIBOB.

I also am angry about the change in scheduling. Adult Swim was perfect -- Family Guy, Futurama, Inuyasha, Case Closed, Lupin and Cowboy Bebop. Can you ask for better? Not if you ask me.

What I'd really like to know is when they are going let release all of seasons 1 through 3 of Case Closed on DVD! Why did Funimation release seasons 4 and 5 first? (leaving out the awesome episode at the end of season 3 when Jimmy comes back!)

This show is intriguing and refreshing compared to Harvey Birdman and some of the other junk Adult Swim has on right now. I recently moved and chose not to get cable - Adult Swim was one of the few things I ever watched. I now have NetFlix to get my anime fix.

When they do finally release the seasons out here, I'm gonna buy all of them...thus far, Case Closed is one of only 3 animes I love watching old episodes of, and 2 of them could barely be considered 'true' anime. Here's the list:

1. Case Closed
2. Code: Lyoko (Made in America, really more of a cartoon than anime)
3. Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu! (Parody of FMP...can't wait for second season though

Your average piece of dried nasal mucus is smarter than any television exec out there. That's why we have shows like "Jackass" and "American Idol". All the wrong people are in charge of TV programming.

It's not just CN. Noggin pulled the same crap with 'Daria'. They showed it at an unreasonable hour, then yanked it to make room for more of their crappy teen dramas. Be thankful. At least you can get some DC episodes on DVD. MTV won't even release seasons of 'Daria'. Bloodsucking scumbags...

Where was I? Oh yeah. This bites. And now the whole Youtube thing. This really bites.

Gimme a break..just because it's animated doesn't mean it's for kids. That's why they have Adult Swim in the first place.

Well, just because they like the show doesn't mean they're immature. And I've that One Piece is actually quite good uncut and undubbed. It's not like they're watching Barney.

man the only watchable dub [in my opinion] is Ranma 1/2

What about "Cowboy Bebop?" It's probably the best anime dub ever. And Disney/Pixar has done a decent job with Studio Ghibli (I would have ax-ed Dakota Fanning in "Totoro", though.)

I've only watched a few episodes of "Ranma" in English, and it was years and years ago. You can get it subbed on Youtube, which is where I've been watching it for the past month or so.
