'Lupin III vs Detective Conan' TV special

Early in this year, NTV network announced they will air a TV special called
"Lupin III vs Detective Conan" in March.

NTV is airing both "Detective Conan" weekly show and "Lupin III" annual specials.
It will have most of the regular characters from both series.

The creators of the original manga, Monkey Punch and Gosho Aoyama
are fully involved in this project, which started roughly 2 years ago.

Reportedly, some of the anime crew didn't like the idea initially,
because they are very different in terms of styles, target audience, etc.
But Gosho Aoyama loved the idea, because he is a big fan of Lupin III.

NTV's official website is here: http://www.ntv.co.jp/lupin-conan/
As of this writing it doesn't have much information.

Peronally, I'm not excited about this - actually, don't like the idea.
I guess it will be like just another Conan episode with Kaitou Kid substituted by Lupin III.
Nonetheless, it can be fun and I'll watch it.

I love Lupin as well as Conan. Course it is true how the drawing styles of both series are different. Unless they design the Lupin characters in Case Closed style to make them blend in more.

Or they could just keep them the way they are and have it look like one of those video game crossovers that feature more than 1 group of characters with different designs.

I can't wait to see how this crossover works out.

The (1st?) trailer is up on the official website.
It seems character designs are kept intact.
