It's official, Season 5 coming in May 12!

http://www.funimation.com/video/?page=video&v=1311

If I'm not mistaken it may include episodes 106-131. But it'll be safe to say that the last episode will be the one that takes place before the first episode of Ai Haibara(Which would be included in Season 6 if there'll be one that is).

Least we do know it'll include the first episode to feature Kazuha Toyama.

Anyways, I'm more than excited to see this DVD being offical.

Nope, those ads are wrong. They've changed the date to May 12th.

reply

Happens all the time.

reply

Yeah, Funimation hasn't changed their ads. -_-

Wow! Releasing a whole new un-aired season just a couple of months after releasing a whole new un-aired season is incredible. I really hope FUNimation keeps this up. I also hope we get some more of the movies soon as well. Preferably in the Double Feature format they used recently with the first two films. That was great.

reply

Actually, it's not all that impressive. They've had all of these episodes dubbed for a while and are just now putting them out.

in the past Kevin Connoly(voice of Harley Hartwell) said there was atleast 128 episodes dubbed. And it turns out that it was true. I still haven't gotten my Season 4 DVD in the mail yet. But I'll probably post my opinion on this board on good the un-released episodes were.

If this series is doing better than it was a few years ago. We might get more episodes on Region 1. But for now I don't want to get too excited for that unless Funimation puts up news on a Season 6 DVD.

There were rumors about Brina Palecina being the voice of Ai Haibara. But that's unconfirm on a slightly un-realiable place. Cause I have no evidence on wether Funimation dub the first Ai Haibara episode or not.

reply

If they dun ones with Ai, her voice will probably be Brina Palencia, because Brina is doing her voice for the Wii game.

Oh, and Season 4 is great. I guessed so much right during Vampire Villa.

reply

I too heard about about the Wii game being dub in English, but there wasn't anything solid on the U.S. release for it the last time I checked. It just said something in 2009.

Season 4 DVD was worth every penny. It at first felt weird to be seeing those episodes with English dubs cause I've already seen them in Japanese atleast 1.5 years ago.

The Jimmy Kudo Revealed one was the best one out of the whole set. Though it seem unnessary to add intros to all 4 parts when it was a 2 hour episode special to begin with. Doesn't bother me at all, cause I was still watching the whole thing at the same time.

reply

I sure hope that they will dub all of the seasons & put them on DVD. The same goes for the movies too.

I'm totally addicted to this anime & I keep on questioning myself "Will Jimmy ever get his body back forever?"

The suspense kills me everytime I think about it.

I swear on my word when I say that if they stop at "Season 5" that's gonna be really messed up.

reply

I would like to atleast see Season 6 on DVD. Cause in my opinion that's when the series gets really good with the introduction of Ai Haibara(who'll have an alternate English name like the other main characters).

I think that this anime does have a good chance in the Anime Market than Kodocha did(that series only had 51 episodes left to dub!).
