Detective Conan 13: The Raven Chaser http://us.imdb.com/title/tt1343046/
will open on Apr. 18 in Japan.

According to what's already told in the official website http://www.conan-movie.jp/
it looks like a crucial event in the Black Organization story arc.
I doubt it's going to be "the final battle",
but the 1st teaser trailer shows dialogues such as:

An unknown character (to Gin) "It was you who killed that high school detective with that medicine, wasn't it?"
Gin replies: "Heck, I didn't imagine he's still alive... in the form of a child."

Haibara (to Conan) "The organization is going to kill everyone associated with you!"

Gin (holding a gun to Conan) "Are you prepared to die, Conan Edogawa? ....no, Shin'ichi Kudo."

Looks like it might be twice as good as Countdown to Heaven. But I still need to watch more of the series before deciding to watch this one.

IMO, you should wait until you see Ep.504, in which some crucial event happened.

It served as the finale of "Aka to Kuro no Clash (The Clash of the Red and the Black)" story (Ep.491-504),
aired in Japan from January to May 2008.
It told a long battle between Conan & FBI agents vs. the Black Organization.

After Ep.504, I see no progress in the Black Organization story in TV series.
(BTW, after this, there was a major replacements in production crew, including director.
The look & feel of the show has stayed the same, though.)

I see more episodes when I have the time. But eventually I'll be caught up with the series.

I read about the movie on wikipedia. I didn't like how it said: The BO tries to shoot Conan and slightly destroyed the upper levels of the Toho Tower. In a pinch close to death, Conan doesn't know what to do until he finds a heavy lamp and his lifting gear. He throws the lamp with the lifting gear against the helicopter as it starts to explode. The BO flies away (near Roppongi Hills Mori Tower) and the helicopter crashes into a park with the fate of the 4 BO members unknown. Vermouth drives away and says: That was to be expected from her silver bullet. The final scene of the movie shows the real Matsumoto inside the small house found by the Detective Boys.

Because that's making me start to believe that Conan died after doing that to the helicopter.

Hopefully, something will convince me that he still managed to survive.

Haha, now I definitely won't read knowing it's a spoiler. I simply skipped it the first time because it was so lengthy.
