Clay Mosby was a wonderful smoldering character and I can't believe that Eric is now the lame Will from Will & Grace. He is obviously a fine actor with a lot of range but I can't bear to watch his new character, so goofy it is sickening. I miss my beloved Clayton.....

I agree with you he was wonderful in"" Clay Mosby "" character he was so strong and so gentel and his beard ...his southern accent was just perfect. ah I miss him that way iI can't watch "Will & Grace" I could cry ....
shareI turned on the TV early one morning to the sight of an angry Clay Mosby, eyes on fire, and my knees gave out. I've been waking up at 6:00 am ever since just to catch these super-early reruns (I never even knew about the show when it was new). Eric McCormack as Clay Mosby is one of the sexiest TV men I've ever seen (ohmigod) and now that I'm hooked, it breaks my heart that this excellent show was cancelled. Still, you have to admit that McCormack is one hell of an actor. I couldn't believe the same actor could play Mosby and Will. In fact, he's so believable as a gay guy that I googled his marital status (he's married to a woman).

Can't beleive Outlaw years only ran for 1 season, we were just getting really into it and the axe dropped for them.........I bought both seasons on DVD, all 43 episodes, great but thats not enough!
Now that will and Grace is cancelled maybe they will make a movie that will tie up the looose ends of the Outlaw Years..........miss that southern drawl.
I agree about Moseby, and what irks me is that, after becoming a US TV Network star, on Will and Grace, McCormack omitted mentioning Lonesome Dove (either series), in a TV Guide interview--as though a syndicated series was an embarrassment.

He has moved on to another character in a show called Perception where I think he plays a character like House in a setting like Person of Interest. I need to check it out. It looks interesting.
shareI checked out Perception and his character is a lot like Monk so I think his range of talent will again be demonstrated. I hope he does another Western because he did have the Clay Mosby character down pat. He was Southern Gentleman who was ruthless to anyone who got in his way but had his own code of ethics and was loyal to a "t" with his friends and those who he respected.

shareOh how I loved Colonel Mosby he was great...I could hardly believe he was Will I had to check and double check and it indeed made me sad. He was also in The Adventures of Old Christine he played a shrink.
I so enjoyed the TV version of Lonesome Dove.

But no way can he top Colonel Mosby for me anyway.
I just borrowed the DVD from the library and I am in love all over again. I think I will have to buy it from Amazon.
To me Lonesome Dove the series is the best TV series ever produced and I am not really a fan of Westerns.
