Most hilarious parts of this movie

I loved it all over! I really felt this film was a kind of 'dark comedy'. There was plenty of humour thrown in along with all the thrills. Despite the brief dramas around Manni and Lola and their private moments, the comedic nature kept the mood of the film upbeat and highly energetic. I happened to watch "Run Lola Run" on TV one night when I was home alone, bored and somewhat down. It actually stimulated me and put me in a great mood, I felt pumped along with the pace, action, shooting style and music. Now I can say it's my favourite film of all time! And it's funny! I have to mention some of the hilarious parts... read on...

SPOILERS BELOW---

Funniest parts:
Lola's glass-shattering scream!!! :D Hilarious! The casino screaming moment made me laugh out loud!

Pretty much all of the photo sequences that take place after Lola bumps into the characters, especially showing the two bank co-workers who later form a relationship, where they are seen engaging in acts of BDSM (seen naked and spanking, with ball gag and whips. Who would have thought they would get up to that later!?)

One of the affair scenes - the point when the woman tells Lola's father that would he still be willing to raise a child with her if it is "not his own". I didn't pick this up the first time around (guess I didn't read the subtitles fast enough), but it fulfills the "slut" type of woman Lola later calls her!

Moments when Meyer crashes into the gangster's car, the look on that poor guy's face as the mean thugs get out, among them an enormous steroided guy (who reminded me of an Arnold Schwarzenegger or some roider freak) about to get even... comical!

Any other funny parts of this film? Which moments were your faves?

Definitely the future of the sadomasochistic bank employees. I also liked in the last cartoon sequence when she barks back at and scares the dog on her way downstairs.

______

"As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.

The only part I laughed out loud at was in the first sequence when the police officer overheard Lola's father telling her she wasn't really his child, he says to Lola, "We all have our bad days." If he only knew what an understatement that was.

I was watching it with a friend and the only time he reacted with laughter was when Manni gets hit by an ambulance.
