Liz has been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List:

It should've been more than just an MBE, but at least she was recognised at last! Congratulations Liz!

I think she made the show. It was extremely funny anyway, but a little on the depressing side for someone who lives in Manchester (maybe a little too close to home for me), but the acting was superb, and Liz Smith stole the show for me.

She is absolutely brilliant! Nana is a great character, played to perfection by Liz.
