We're having chippies!

in series 3 when barbarah announces that there to have their tea from the chippy, Dave asks for "pudding chips and gravy and a can of dandellion and burdock" what is 'pudding' exactly? i thought it might be black pudding but i dont know of a fish and chip shop that serves it, anyone know what it is?

It's a northern term, Dave wants a meat pie.

Shut up!....... I think you'll find it's called The Jeremy Kyle Show!

You are welcome. I was unsure of what this meant until I was told. Funny, but I am not even English! I'm telling a northerner their own language!!

Actually, a pudding refers to a Steak and Kidney pudding, sometimes referred to as "Babbies 'Yed" in some northern towns. It's a soft suet pastry shell surrounding chunks of steak and kidney, at it's not half tasty!
