Dave + Denise are unbelievably stupid

I'm not sure when it happened but Dave and Denise have become unbelievably stupid.

Much of the charm of the early series was the subtle humor. Dave and Denise were dumb and naive but now they are complete imbeciles.

I didn't think the Golden Egg Cup was horrible but it seems that they've abandoned a lot of what made people love the series in the beginning.

How about when Denise says she's thinking of adopting "two or three brown babies" and goes on to say she's thinking about getting "caramel colored ones" to go with her sofa. Really? Denise would pick children to match the color of her sofa? Denise seems to have become mentally retarded.

And don't get me started on Denise and Dave cooking Christmas dinner last year.
