Didn't laugh once last night.

Thought it was very disappointing to be honest. Since when did all the characters become so unlikeable, and they never used to all be retarded

It was like one of those things they come up with for Comic Relief or something, but over long and painful to watch.

Saying that, perhaps me watching Blackadder on BBC 2 beforehand didnt help, as that's comedy gold, and they quit when they were still wonderful

I did think it was a definate improvement on last years special, which I regard as one of the worst pieces of television I have ever seen. HOWEVER:-

It's just in it's own world now where the characters have become stereotypes of themselves. The show used to be clever realistic observations of life and is now generally predictable, repetitive and relying too much on toilet humour.

They should never have started showing the characters outside Jim and Barbaras' house, that was the whole point of the show in the first place.

The quality would have been better if they had cut it from 60 minutes to 30/45 minutes.

Joe being out of character saying twice as much as he has throughout the rest of the run. It's like they give him lines meant for other characters (Mary and Twiggy perhaps).

Yes the timeline thing got to me too. Jim and Barbara wouldnt have even got to their Ruby Wedding yet they have suddenly been married 50 years????

The stuff before they left the house was really entertaining. If it had ended there I would have been very happy. As soon as they left it became really unfunny... I was waiting for a joke but there wasn't one :(

I agree. Dave has become mentally retarded and Denise is right there with him.

I don't why they put that fncking Lily Allen song in it though.

Didn't care for it at all. There was maybe three laughs in the whole thing.

The last good Royle Family was the Queen of Sheba. The magic of the Royle Family died with Nana.
