Does anyone know if she has died or something in real life as she hasn't appeared in this xmas special and they have just written her out by saying Mary has died.

I can't find anything on t'internet about her death tho

I don't think the actress is dead, i think she didn't want to come back.

aw thats a shame, she was saying in one of the interviews on the Queen of Sheba DVD that she loved being in royles and always hoped they would include her in it

I think mary was a great character

As she doesn't appear to be dead, my guess is she's completely retired, as there's nothing on her imdb page since 2007.
