its like watching a spoof of the royle family

series 1 - 3 are greta its like watching real people

but ever since queen of sheba the characters mainley dave, denise, jim, joe and cheryl all seem like characatures of there former selves like your watching someone spoofing them.

jim doesnt even sound the same as he used too, and theres two much crazy stuff or stupid thinsg that seem to unreal defrosting a turkey under a sunbed and in the bath, cutting carrots and leaving big clumps of mud on them, lifting jim around because he has stubbed his toes, feeding children selection boxes for dinner, jim takign a *beep* in a caravan with half his body hanging out, cheryls cartoon style boyfriends, and the list goes on

can caroline and craig not write the same as they used too or have thye purposely made it more wacky

i didnt mind queen of sheba alot of people like it , i think they handled nana dying well but the rest was stupid , golden eggcup was just bad , new sofa was realy realy stupid and the last ep was an inprovement but not upto s1 - 3 standards

I agree about the slapstick, in an interview they said for some reason when they wrote New Sofa they just wanted to go all out silly after the Nana's death episode.

But carrying JIm around, half his huge body hanging out the small toilet in the caravan I thought was realistic. That happens.
But Cheryl's boyfriends was a very generic sitcom style "joke" which was forced.
