1. dave, denise, jim and barbara have all become caricatures of themselves like your watching a sketch show take the mick out of them, dave and denise used to be gormless now there just idiots.

2. anthony doesnt fit this new role as career man as he has nothing to do, it would be better if anthony was still at home jobless it would fit the situation better

3. leaving the royles house takes away from what made the first 3 series great, i always remember wanting to see daves wedding, or joe and marys house, the feathers and dave and denise flat but it doesnt seem to work for this show r maybe the it jut ahsnt been done right

4. they shouldnt jump through time and keep it like the first 3 series that sort of encompassed 30 minutes of the royles life

5. caroline aherne needs to rememeber her own history within the show like character ages, how characters were described before they appear and other events

The biggest mistake was trying to make a story for each episode (eg. Nana dying), which the earlier series never did.

I think they also overdid the Golden Eggcup. They have a brand new TV and Dave's got a job, but they can only afford to go to this crummy caravan site, which seems a bit unrealistic for me.
