... does Anthony seem less likeable in later series? I know people aren't keen on Dave and Denise's changes, but I thought in The Queen of Sheba Anthony comes across as more aloof now. This could also explain why we don't see Darren.
shareAnthony was very likable to me in QOS. He didn't have much to do, but what we saw of him he brings Nana a CD walkman which she really loves, and gives Jim money for the pub.
If Anthony had been unlikable he would have rubbed it in Jim's face that he's made something of himself when Jim was always putting him down for years that he has no prospects at all, and then told Jim to get lost when he asked for a lend.
