Does anyone know why GOLD never repeat this episode?
In all the years I've been watching The Royle Family on GOLD, I just cannot recall seeing that episode.
I've come across a thread on Digital Spy where somebody said in 2011 that GOLD never show that episode, so the ban on showing this forbidden episode has been in place for ages now.

Not sure if there is any truth in it but i have heard it is because of the fact that SMTV live and the music show that Ant and Dec also hosted straight after is heard and many times shown on screen during the episode (ITV causing a fuss?)
Maybe they can't get the rights any more (Don't see why considering) but the episode is on the dvd and shows the TV many times and they cut non of it so makes no sense really
There is nothing in the episode that would be considered 'dodgy' and make it unshowable so it has to be some form of rights argument
Interestingly this episode isn't on Netflix (UK) either, only 5 episodes under series 3. Very bizarre...
