I loved this movie, I really did. I didn't think I would, because there had been so many bad reviews about it. My only problem is that the age difference between David and the Young Man seems a bit unbelievable. It's sort of hard to believe that those two had enough in common or whatever to actually fall in love and kill Alexis so they could be together. Personally, I think that this movie would be a lot better if they'd cast the role of the Young Man a bit older. Viggo Mortenson would've been perfect...

Nobody ever said that David and the young man were in love, for one thing.

No, I'm pretty sure they were in love. It was implicitly stated.

well i'm 20 who'd love to have my hand kissed by norman reedus who is 42...
i'd say the age difference is believable.

Sometimes opposites attract. In some instances there's no explaining why two people are attracted to one another and fall in love. It would appear outwardly that they have nothing in common but they can be quite happy together. And besides, there are people of all ages want to do Norman Reedus. He's 43. I'm 28 and my mom's 67 and we both like him. There's a girl on here that said she was 20 and she likes him. He's gorgeous. It's totally believable.

I was just thinking the same thing. I'm 23 and I'd date Norman in a heartbeat. And Norman of 14 years ago... mmm, who wouldn't go for that?

Difference is Reedus looks very young, he looks more 33 than 43, while Rickman looks his age.

Given that, I agree, people fall in love for various reasons regardless of age.

David became rich after Alexis' death, getting her island and probably all her money. That's probably what the young man saw in him lol. And it's not hard to tell what David saw in him. Norman Reedus and his fine ass.

Speaking about age difference, I'm in my twenties and I wouldn't say no to a date with Alan Rickman haha, same for Norman Reedus, but Alan is just... Alan haha :) not matter what's his age, I think is 'always' great!
