Is this a lost film?

I've never seen anything about a physical media release of the film ever occurring, plus it doesn't seem to be downloadable or streamable anywhere. Did this just screen theatrically and maybe run on TV a couple times before vanishing into complete obscurity? It's all the more frustrating to search for the film because of the more contemporary, more well-known TV show of the same name.

Strange that this film is so obscure when it did possibly spawn a few knockoffs like the Bruno Mattei women-in-prison films. The genre was sort of en vogue in the late 70's and 80's so there was certainly a market for it, but I suppose this was one of the few women in prison films that was more of a serious prestige piece rather than a straight-up exploitation movie, which makes it all the more of a fascinating anomaly.
