"She's fine"????

I'm listening to this movie right now and the one odd thing that is sticking out to me is when Dave Chapelle's character refers to Kathleen Kelly as "fine" when describing her appearance to Joe.

Seems odd to me because while Kathleen is cute, or attractive or pretty, I wouldn't call her "Fine". Typically when a man and definitely a black man calls a woman "fine", it means she has definite sex appeal.

Kathleen Kelly does not. Just seems like poor choice of words on the writers' part.

I just watched that scene and Dave Chappelle's character is referring to another woman (who doesn't have a book) as "fine" and "gorgeous". He refers to Kathleen Kelly as "very pretty".
