Cuba should have won an oscar

I thought Cuba Gooding Jr. was a lot better in this film than he was in Jerry Maguire which won him a supporting actor oscar. I thought he deserved it for this film though. I wouldn't have minded seeing Hopkins nominated for best actor either, he was pretty into character.

Well if Cuba should have won an oscar for his acting, I think it would have been equally justifiable to make Buffy the vampireslayer the contact signal when we find intelligent life in deep space. Never have I seen such poor acting.
