Why guess correctly?
Is there any real incentive for the panel to win? I assume not, but I think I would always let the kid win.

That would defeat the purpose of the game and take the fun out. I am sure Nick would rather the panel win so they don't have to pay for more prizes.
shareYeah, I understand that. Obviously from Nick and the viewers point of view, it's pointless. But the panel could easily act like they are trying and let the kid win. And that's what I would do, because from their point of view there's no incentive to win.
There is an incentive. I doubt they do this show for free, meaning Nick surely pays them per appearance. And in order to be paid I am sure Nick forces them to at least make an effort most of the time. Getting a paycheck is a nice incentive.
shareI'm not saying they should make it obvious.
I always figured that they would get a bonus or something if they are the one that guess's correctly.
shareThat would make sense. I've been wondering since I warched the original version.
shareI will say though that many of the panelists don't seem to try very hard when guessing. I remember watching the originals and Lori Beth was a damn machine when it came to solving the puzzles.
shareYeah, but at the same time, the panelists now have hardly been on the show as much as Lori Beth. Lori Beth was in soooo many of the episodes, she just became a polished regular with a reputation (and thus had a lot more chances to figure it out). I've noticed the current panelists who have been on the show more often are better at the game. Makes sense.
shareI haven't watched the new version, but yes, Lori Beth solved a lot of the puzzles. Espeically during the final guesses and she was the last one.
She's had the most appearances out of all the panelists, the second being Danny Tamberelli. She was only absent in four episodes in the first season and Jenna Leigh Green from Sabrina The Teenage Witch was there instead. In the second season she was absent for two episodes and Kenan Thompson was in her seat. In the third season the only episode she was absent from was when the Pete & Pete family was the panel. She didn't appear at all in the 4th season because she went to do the Steve Harvey show.
Sick of threads "Megan Fox should play this!"
