Will Universal follow Sony's footsteps?

As you know Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced a 10 Year Reunion Edition of "Can't Hardly Wait".... I'm wondering if Universal Pictures will do a similar deal next summer with American Pie since it came out in 1999. Can't believe it's been almost 10 years since "American Pie" came out. Anyone think this DVD will be in the works?

Of course there will be an AP: 10th Anniversary DVD! (Like it or hate it- It's a classic!)

Wasn't really an AP fan personally, more of a horror-geek and for some reason was (and still am) very fond of CHW! I was very suprised they were pulling out all the stops for a 10th Anniversary Reunion release. Just great!

I agree super, I'm a fan of both and was pretty shocked to find out that CHW will be getting a re-release with more features. I'm pretty stoked!

The thing is Can't hardly wait was divoid of special features on the first dvd. It had a commentary and a music video but nothing else. American Pie has already had at least 3 special edition DVD's come out. So I am not sure a new special edition would sell through the roofs as most fans would own one or more DVD copy already.

Yeah, but AP is a part of a huge franchise that's targeted at the teen market. I'm sure it'll crank out another DVD or two.

I don't think AP is on Blu-ray yet... so this would give Universal a great reason to promote a Blu-ray copy of the film.
