There were a lot of celebs in this movie.

Seriously this movie was full of celebs popping up. Some of them probably aren't that famous but I still think it's fun to watch this and just see who pops up. I'll name some now famous people that were in this (aside from the main cast).

Here's just some of the people that pop up:

Breckin Meyer
Sean Patrick Thomas (most recognizable from Save the Last Dance)
Clea DuVall
Jenna Elfman
Donald Faison (most recognizable from Scrubs and Clueless)
Melissa Joan Hart (most recognizable from Sabrina)
Freddy Rodriguez (recently guest starred on Ugly Betty and has been in other things people may know him from)
Selma Blair (most will probably remember her from Cruel Intentions)
Jerry O'Connell

Also, if anyone's ever watched Popular, the character Carmen was in this. She was the one talking about sheep and who started baaing.

Name more if you saw them.

Jason Segel (from Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall) is the stoner that is always eating watermelon...

And Eric Balfour (Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hell Ride) is the stoner that licks the pot-brownie off Denise's face...

I noticed that, too. So many people who went on to have their own shows or have major roles in sitcoms or dramas.

Freddy Rodriquez was also in Six Feet Under.

Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under)
Sarah Rue (Less Than Perfect)
Erik Palladino (ER, CSI, Crossing Jordan, etc.)
Seth Green (Four Kings, and a bunch of other stuff)
Jay Paulson (Cybill, October Road)

At lot of them were already fairly well known though... its not really a "shock" basically they wanted to make a classic teen movie. The ypulled them from other roles.

The two leads were child stars

Melissa joan Heart - Child star, went from Clarissa explains it all straight to Sabrina..Shes really the most surprising to be in this film considering how small the role is and she was probably the most known in the cast aside from Jenifer Love

Clea Duvall got her big break that year with the Faculty after being on buffy and ER the previous year

Seth Green was on Buffy

Charlie "Preston"- was a child star: Hook, what about bob

Jerry Oconnell- Child star. Stand by me, JErry Mcguire, Scream 2

Brekin Meyer- Clueless, The Craft

They wanted a successful teen movie so they threw the big teen names into the movie to draw in their different fan basis, which were probably not similar considering the diversity in this group.

Of course a movie has celebrities in it. That's like saying, "Ooh, this album has musicians on it!"
