Why did the angel make Preston get off the phone when there were 2 other phones to use? Even if she did want to use the ohone then why didn't she wait for Preston? She sounded weird when she called the cab company. She said "I'm an angel". Why did she say that? That was kind of stupid. Did they have cell phones back then, because why would Preston use a pay phone?
shareTo your question of whether they had cell phones back then, the answer is yes and no. There were cell phones, but they were no where nearly as widely used as they are today. Today, it's considered unusual for anyone over the age of 15 to not have a cell phone. Back then, it was very rare for anyone, let alone high school students, to carry cell phones.
And the other pay phone was broken.
"Believe me. I tied my own shoes once. It is an overrated experience."
And she says she's an angel so the cab driver would know who to look for when he came to pick her up.
"It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache."
Yeah, but how did she know they were both broken. I didn't see her try the phones. Did she somehow magically know they were broken because she was an angel?

shareI hate that caracter! I know she kinda redeems herself at the end of the scene when she gives him an advice, but she was soooo rude to him! making Preston lose his only coin just cause she thought she coudn't wait 2 minutes to get a cab made me so mad at her (sorry if I overeact lol)
