Just watched it followed by The Girl Next Door and...
OK don't get me wrong as I was a teen in the late 90's but I've never heard of either film until today, perhaps due to poor advertising?
Anyway I really enjoyed Can't Hardly Wait - it Def has to be one of the best teen movies of the 90's. Sensitive, smart dialogue, witty, charming, fun, amazing music..basically brilliant production all round.
However then someone on the board here commented about another flick The Girl Next Door ( also never heard of it when released in the 2000's) and I gave to agree with the commenter - this by far tops the cake of all teen romance movies. I dont care how unrealistic the story was, I was completely drawn to it. Obviously very different to Can't Hardly Wait, but I feel I was more drawn to this flick..I was emotionally attached to both lead characters and their story - 10/10
