10 Years... Has it been that long...

Wow has time passed. Great piece of work. Miramax or well Disney has done great DVD's for all their other stuff. Why not this. Oh yeah. I worked for them... Disney can be a bit racist.

Well, this movie didn't exactly kill at the box office. There has to be a business demand and it's probably not there. It's playing on Comcast on demand's free movies right now. That's why I'm here. Just watched it. If you don't have comcast digital find someone who does and have them tape it for you, that way you have the movie to watch.

There are plenty of films out there that bomb at the box office and still get a better service on dvd. Or even fan fare favorites that get a new life on dvd. This is one of them. Spirit bombed. And this film did pretty good at the box office for a low low budget film.

As for the Disney and his habits, well the guy was not around when this film came out and today. He has been long gone for quite some time.

I caught this on Starz Black or something a few months ago, and found it to be great! It's been stuck in my head off and on since then. Great writing, and really resonates with me as I am just about the same age as the characters in the movie and remember those days, after college, like this.

So anyhow, the DVD is out, just bought it from Amazon (actually I bought it the other day, it arrived today). Going to go give it another viewing!

It was on Cinemax last night, real late, at like 4 am. I wound up watching it anyway. I think I'll always watch that entire movie if I haven't seen it in a while. It really is a good movie. I love the irony at the end, saying he sold out a little bit, and in fact, he does, because the movie, if being realistic, should have ended right when Hav reads his letter and decides to go out with her friend. Cherot reminds me of Woody Allen this way. The romance is unrealistic, or, at the very least, exaggerated, but he makes fun of himself in the process as if all along he's saying, "do you guys honestly believe this all happened to me?".

What's all this DVD talk, anyway? Says at Amazon that the DVD was released in 2002. Have they released a newer edition? Let me know, if so. ben, any special features on your DVD? Commentary, interviews, etc?
