Thoughts on This Film

Last night I watched Shrek, which I had never seen all the way through, on a DVD I got from the library. I chose not to stream it as that is pay only. It was okay but I am just as happy I didn't pay for it. As for parts that might be upsetting to children or sensitive viewers, a gingerbread man is tortured and has his legs amputated. One is later reattached but the other is crushed. Fiona accidentally blows up a bird and then cooks its eggs. Shrek and Fiona make a frog and a snake into balloon animals which is unfortunate for the frog and the snake. There is the usual type of violence associated with fantasy films. The donkey was funny. The film was entertaining and innovative and I liked the use of music.

I actually always laughed out loud at Fiona making the bird explode. If that upset you, don't ever see Dumb and Dumber where a similar thing happens to a bird.

Which would be worse as that is live action.
