movie was great, soundtrack takes you back and is one of the best, however, missing many songs, I know most of them, but one song when Dumphey thinks he lost jane and is walking though the campus, it is a old R&B song, cant find the title or artist (words: "if i ever make you unhappy") Does anybody know name of song and artist.
shareThis movie has a great collection of songs, but like many films with great collections of songs, it detracts from the film after a certain point. Simply put, the songs are better than the movie itself, which was decent but could have been better.
The best way to hear these songs is on their original albums, though, not a soundtrack to a '90s film attempting to re-create the '70s. If this film turns people on to great music that's been largely forgotten, that's a good thing. But the soundtrack to this film isn't the only place to get those great tunes, and I wonder if the soundtrack actually does those songs a disservice by taking them out of their original context?
Yes tis best to listen to this music whilst sipping a nice tea at sunset.
