I'm a pretty big fan on Andy but there's no way he's dead. He's probably soaking up the sun off in some beach somewhere. He's a practical joker. Only a great practical joker could pull off the ultimate prank: faking your own death. He'll be back, randomly, one day.

I'm sure that if his death was an elaborate hoax that his family would have been in on it and so their saying that he was cremated doesn't necessarily make it so. Even a jokester like Andy wouldn't put his family through truly believing he was dead.

According to Wikipedia, he is buried at Beth David Cemetery in Long Island. One can also view his death certificate on The Smoking Gun.
Another clue that Andy did indeed pass is that he said if he faked his death, he would come back after 20 years. That would have been in 2004. No Andy.
