Here's something trivial that I always found interesting. Andy buys two tickets to the movies and then buys a large tub of popcorn (with extra butter). The camera then cuts to Andy and Lynne exiting the cinema, and the tub is still full. Andy was saving his popcorn for later, or he paid for admission for two people just to visit the snack bar.
It's been a long time since I've watched the film, but isn't the point that he bought the tickets just so he could go and buy the popcorn - he didn't want to see the film at all?

Why would you think he wolfed down the popcorn during the movie? Why not buy the popcorn, watch the movie and still have some afterward? Lynne didn't want any.
Or he could buy a tub on the way out. No big deal.

I'm almost positive it was showing that he would buy tickets just to get popcorn. Not sure if the real Andy did this or not, but it's just another example of the eccentric things he would do
