Their is an episode of Batman the animated series called PERCHANCE TO DREAM that came out in 1995 where batman is trapped in a dreamworld. Basically at the end he finally figures out its a dream and wants to wake up and he jumps off a building. and i thought hey they just ripped off abre los ojos but it turns out this was made first. I wonder if their is any connection between these two or if its just a coincidence.

That's really interesting. I was watching this movie last night, and I had a thought that Abre Los Ojos was a perfect illustration of Hamlet's worries:

I do remember that Ep from the animated series, probably the best out of that series if you ask me. Very creative and first time I think a villain came really close to defeating him. Very memorable indeed!
