Anyone read Ubik?

Because this is basically a loose adaptation of Philip K. Dick's classic sci-fi novella. Sure the characters and the "setting" are different and it lacks the original's extensive sci-fi terminology, but the basic plots and themes (excluding Cesar's guilt) are the same. Not that there's anything wrong with that: Abre.. is a damn fine film that I really enjoyed, which is a rarity since I'm pretty jaded when it comes to Sci-Fi cinema. I might go so far as to say its better than any actual Dick adaptation. I'm just a bit surprised that it hasn't been brought up more.

I plan to read ubik, so far I only read the man in the high castle and a scanner darkly.
A bit late but I like PKD too.

It's been so long since I've read it I feel I should read it again before watching this flic. Honestly, I did not think I would see Dick mentioned in regard to this'n. Cheers.

Yes, it is UBIK.
Some time ago in a (subsequently deleted) review I was wondering if the PKD Trust sued them.
