Yes, we haven't had any that hit the mark for awhile... Lucky we can go back and watch them again!
I'd say the closest is the latest Bridget Jones's movie, but even that isn't hitting the same heights. And, you really do miss Hugh in the movie.
Movies have changed. Blockbusters are all for teenage boys and incels. Independent films are about misfit teenagers, elderly romance, or skanky drug people. DIE has pretty much been the death blow. There's not much else going on.
