If this film had gotten an R rating
how successful would the film have been?
shareProbably a lot more successful than it was, as it was released around the same time that South Park started up. It was a known commodity and fairly popular, so I think that a lot more theaters would have gotten it.
It's kind of funny that now it's pretty tame in relation to other films that have been released lately, such as Watchmen.
I haven't seen this film yet, but it might have been a big financial success had it gotten an R rating instead of an NC-17. It could have been advertised as " from the guys from South Park" or something like that.
shareWell, the flop that was BASEketball indicates that even if Orgazmo got the R rating that it should have had and thus played in many more theaters, it probably still would not have done all that well (though it would certainly do a lot better financially than with the NC-17).
Fighting the frizzies, at 11.
well the movie was filmed on a 1.3 million dollar budget. I think it would be very hard to flop on that budget.
shareTrue, true. Maybe a mild "cult hit" at best. You should watch it though, especially if you're a Parker/Stone fan, it's not their best work but there are some hilarious scenes/lines.

I just finished watching it. I loved it. its a shame it didn't get the R rating it deserved. who knows, we might have gotten a sequel.
shareNot that much. The title is a turn-off for those who don't know the premise and it didn't have any big stars.
shareProbably not that much more successful.
After all, the movie had a low budget, and was only given a limited release in theaters. With its very low budget, and South Park's following, I'd imagine it's turned a profit a few times over at least.
