Sissy Spacek was the best part of the movie

Her performance as Helen has always really stood out to me in this film. I love her facial expressions and her comedic timing is actually quite good for an actress who normally plays serious roles. Just a few of my favorites: Her face when she says, "Oh, for heaven's sake! Please don't bring that up!" when the party guest mentions the Cuban missile crisis, the way she says "The locks?!" in the fallout shelter, the way she looks at Calvin when he is laughing hysterically to the same Honeymooners episode over and over again (and the following scene where she's downing a bottle of booze), when she screams after the birthday party, her little dance when the fallout shelter doors finally open, and when she tosses her coffee cup when Calvin scares her. She's just so damn good in this movie.
