After seeing it for first time in years, some things...

First off, it really is as f'ing good as I remember - one of the if not THE best dark comedy of all time, and Boyd one of the best psycho characters of all time. That said, I have a couple qualms:

1. The scene in the car with Boyd talking about love then kissing Fisher - as much as they wanted to paint him as having gone completely insane or perhaps as doing whatever it takes to keep everyone in line, the kiss was the most unbelieveable part of the movie.

2. Not far behind in the unbelieveability factor is the wedding itself and the absence of the best man. Not that it wasn't a hilarious scene ("JEEEESUS CHRRRIST!! *comes back out* Got em!") but here they said the best man wasn't going to be there for whatever reason and to just proceed, then clearly with the rings being missing and Moore going to get them, the best man IS there...how in the world would anyone not question that situation? I mean there would have to be absolutely no way they would get away with having killed Boyd. Obviously it seems like there wasn't really anyone else in Boyd's life, but still, the situation doesn't seem to lend itself to an easy conclusion like it's made out to be in the movie.

3. Situations are very sobering...however f'd up someone might be on drugs or what, a situation like what happened with the hooker and then the knock on the door would likely really sober up pretty much all of them pretty quickly. That said, I find it a little hard to believe that Michael would miss closing the bathroom door completely. I realize he may not have for the sake of being quiet but he could have done it quietly enough.

Besides those things, the movie rocks and is as entertaining as I remembered.

On my video version I'm like 90% sure that the scene with Boyd kissing Fisher didn't happen as I bought it on dvd, finally and when that scene appeared I was like: I don't remember that happening before....

Maybe it was just missed off some of the uk video versions.
