The music in this film.
I thought the soundtrack was one of the best I've heard in ages. Anyone else agree?

Hells yes. me and my buddy were picking out everyband... great songs. awesome to hear that one rare System song... can't remember the name.
shareThis movie introduced me to Sevendust. See: the "Headbanger's Ball" special at the end of the tape.
"Black" is still a great tune.
The soundtrack to this film is absolute quality! At the time it was released, there were so many great bands who were just on the way up to 'star' status, System', Soulfly, Snot(cut off in their prime! 'Absent' is still a quality track to this day! I remember thinking that Snot would be huge if their new album had tracks like that all the way through, then Lyn Strait was killed - shame!), Eminem, Kid Rock(not so great, but achieved platinum status not too long after), Sevendust. I love other tracks on there from The Clay People & Dayinthelife, Backyard Babies, who didn't go onto mega status, but still prompted me to get their catalogues on the basis on the songs aired on the S/T.
AND you get the established metal bands, Pantera, Megadeth etc too!
Great work by Dee Snider on the S/T!
I wish Dee would finally do a seqeul just to see what he would do for the soundtrack.
shareLove this soundtrack! Oddly enough, I hadn't seen this movie in years, and I JUST got home from seeing Snot live (or Snot 2.0, if you will), and it happens to be on IFC right now. I guess when it comes down to it, (at least if you ask me) the soundtrack is better than the actual film.
shareI was just checking out the board because I saw this flick last night on IFC...I really liked the flick and was commenting that Dee Snider has a great voice, I loved the song at the end, and yes, the soundtrack was AWESOME!
shareI liked the movie, too, but it's not necessarily one that I would watch over and over like some.
It's funny...the song at the end, the one that Dee Snider did with Twisted Sister, was one of only two songs from this soundtrack that I didn't like. (In case anyone's wondering, the other is the song by Nashville Pussy. Don't recall the title). It just goes to show you, people really do have different taste. Funny how you can like the same thing even, but for completely different reasons (or appreciate totally different aspects).
To each his own, right?
:-)
I think it was pretty good.
But the song that made me most excited while watching the movie was In League by Bile! I was really surprised by that.
I was pleased to hear Megadeth's "A Secret Place".
What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!
