Cool

I am amazed that despite watching 70-80% per cent of the horrors out the last 2.5 decades, not to mention watching films like, Hellraiser, Saw, etc. I still found this film fresh. Its not often that I cringe when I watch a horror movie, but the Capt. Howdy character was unique and though elements in it had been used in other movies around the same time doesn't mean its not able to stand on it's own feet.

This movie is worth watching, just for the hell of it. Its a fun horror movie. Its like Shocker, which isn't the best, but still a cult movie.

Both Shocker and Strangeland have killer soundtracks. And the music suites the movie. I got the soundtrack for the movie first and then watch the movie.

Lastly, don't get put off watching this serial killer movie by people who seem to rip into anything that they can, just to have people follow their reviews and not watch the movie and make up their own minds.

Give the movie ago.

*Spoilers*

I found the concept of Capt. Howdy using the Internet to lure his victims into his house of horrors to be very interesting. To think this concept was written into a movie before it became popular was really unique. Also the fact that he lured male victims not just female ones. the first half with Cardellini and her friend was way too fast. I wanted to get to know them more.

But I really hated the 2nd half of the film. So what if Snider's character was "all better" after taking Meds. and living in a mental hospital? are we supposed to feel sympathy for this madman when the Lynchmob comes after him? who careees? too much time is spent with the lead Detective. overall you could tell the movie as a whole was cut up and rushed to heck.

~I love the rhythm it is my methoood!~
