Whoopi, the word stupid & smiling

I agree that stupid is a horrible word but why does Whoopi keep saying you can't say stupid while smiling? Sherri proved her wrong on this years ago. I agree that when most people use it that they are probably not smiling. So why does she insist on mentioning the "smiling" part?

I'm watching it now..She said "You can't say the word stupid with a smile but you can say f#%k with a smile".
