That's some story (6/16)

Did anyone understand what the hell the 16 year old car thief was saying?

I understood about 10% of his story involving taking his aunt's car and stopping to pick up a rag full of bullets. The rest (especially the beginning about taking the keys or not taking them) was just a blur of nonsense.

The kid is a criminal in the making.

And, mom just stood there like she resented the questioning. In the hallway, she said "it's his decision," clarifying that to mean he'll do what he wants and pay the consequences.

Great parenting..... 

He already is a criminal.

I'm still wondering what he was trying to say at the beginning, from what I remember it was something like "the car keys was on the table, and she was like take the keys, she didn't say take it, and I was like naw, and she chill chill chill, and I like aight."

Then the rag he picked up on the ground for no reason apparently had 9 bullets in it, because, you know, when you're stealing your aunt's car in the middle of the night, and you see a rag on the ground, it's not like you're NOT going to pick it up. Free rag!

Yeah. If he knew right from wrong and made the right decisions, they wouldn't be there. So clearly he needs to be taught what's right and wrong better, or needs better guidance to make the right decisions when he knows something is wrong. But nope, it's his decision, she can't do anything about it, it's not like she's his mother or anything.

Also, his dream is to be in the NFL. Maybe he thought being a criminal was a prerequisite?

"I'm never going to make it to the NFL without my bullet rag!"
