raise your right hand
Over the last few weeks I have noticed several people who apparently don't know their left from their right. When Douglas says "Raise your right hand", the left one goes up instead. DUH.

shareSomething like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxAk3B_zS5k
shareThat even happened once during the Simpson criminal trial. If I had been the one who was telling the litigants or witnesses to do that and they raised the wrong hand I would shout, "Your OTHER right hand!!!!!!"
shareIt doesn't necessarily make them dumb. I have a PhD in psychology and I have problems with it. It can be attributed to an extremely mild form of dyslexia. For the longest time, I literally had to think for a second about which hand I wrote with before I told someone to turn left or right.
Interestingly enough, in college I took Japanese as my foreign language. If someone asks me in Japanese, I can immediately tell them if it is "migi" or "hidari." Problem is, that doesn't come up too often.
