Surprise ending

I was very impressed with the quality of this film, but was the surprise ending where the man came out of the manhole really necessary. I felt this just cheapened the film, and turned it into the typical hollywood garbage. I was going to give this film an 9/10, but I feel this terrible ending lowered it to a 6.5/10. Such a shame...

There is a shot near the end of the movie where a man pokes his head out of a manhole. This ruined the entire movie for me.

Probably symbolic for something, maybe "rising up from no where."
