Two Questions

1) What did old man Tate give out to callers at Halloween instead of candy? It was something in a box I seem to remember?
2) When Carla was dressed up as a swan (complete with the oversized body attachment) to the Halloween Ball did her mum have anything to do with the choice of costume do you think?
Remember only a few scenes earlier when her mum was teaching her how to dance & yet when Carla kept asking how to move to the slow numbers or "smoochies" her mum kept changing the subject? In that swan outfit nobody would have been able to get close enough to her to dance to those slow numbers!
By the way I thought this was a really lovely tender film with two very touching performances put in by the actors concerned.In my opinion they successfully portrayed two very sweet sincere & honest mentally challenged individuals to the point where you were really rooting for the characters themselves & that the chemistry between the two main leads was just amazing too.
