The maturity level of Carla or Daniel was not high enough to reason away everyday problems or keep them out of dangerous situations. I mean, Carla couldn't handle someone laughing at her . It caused her to become hysterical. So yes, they should have been allowed to really rent an apartment and get married , have kids, travel around the world on vacation etc. Gimme a break ! Sam couldn't even make change or order food in a restaurant but an idiot was trying to put the life of a 7 year old child in his hands . Wrong, his child or not. Not capable .

It's people like you, who tell people like Carla, Daniel and Sam that they can't. Nice. Very nice. You never know the potential of anybody until they try. And that is just what I Am Sam and The Other Sister portray.

Seriously. I kept wondering about their ability to be parents. It takes more than love.

They have not had a kid yet but they do have a big family to support them if they do have one.
