Ending..help!

This was on TV a while ago but I missed the ending. I taped it off TV to watch later and preset for 2 1/2 hours---but it went on longer! It ended where she "goes away" and stops at her trying to paint but can't. Can anyone tell me how it ended? please....

Please rent the DVD and watch it. It's really good and it would be a shame if you didn't get to see it yourself. There's a fun twist that I don't want to ruin for you.
