shareThis was in the trivia section of the site:
--- 0'Reilly's Restaurant, where so much of the central action takes place, is actually a Chicago landmark eatery known as the "Twin Anchors". ---

I'm so going there.
"And it wasn't even real cream cheese it was light cream cheese!"
We had a wonderful experience seeing this film. Right before see the film, at Chicago's 900 N. Michigan Theater (no longer in business) we had dinner at "FoodLife", a better-quality food court at Water Tower Place across the street. During our dinner, we were serenaded by the "Strolling Strings"...who we then saw in the film!
shareIt's one of the best barbeque places in the city. I've seen the movie a few times (due to insomnia), and finally recognized a restaurant that I go to all the time. Sort of like the Rainbo Room being the lunch place in High Fidelity.
sharemy wife and i ate with some friends there. its just a local neighborhood bar and diner. in the movie when they show a full shot of the place you can see the street sign that is on the corner of the street(sedgwick). they try to depict that the place has a garden on the side but is actually part of the cross street. looks like they added an upstairs balcony thats not there and also some windows they look out into the garden that are not in the building. also the booths inside are rearranged and some of the interior. the kitchen is in the back of the restaurant but in the movie it led to the upstairs and outside. it was interesting to see how they changed the restaurant for the movie.
